How it works

From unsafe pattern to verified patch.

SecureFix AI separates detection, repair and verification so each step can be inspected on its own.

  1. 01 — UPLOAD

Upload your C/C++ firmware source code.

Drop .c, .cpp or .h files or paste a function. Files are validated for type and size before anything is sent to the analysis backend.

  2. 02 — DETECT

    Analyse potentially unsafe coding patterns.

The backend runs Flawfinder static analysis and maps its 0–5 risk levels to CRITICAL, HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW and INFORMATIONAL findings with CWE references.

  3. 03 — EXPLAIN

Understand the security issues and their impact.

Each finding shows the exact line, why the construct is unsafe, what an attacker could achieve on an embedded target, and the recommended secure coding approach.

  4. 04 — REPAIR

    Generate AI-assisted secure code suggestions.

A language model proposes a patch for the affected function. You see a side-by-side diff and an explanation. Generated code is never executed automatically.

  5. 05 — VERIFY

Rescan and independently check proposed repairs.

The patched code is rescanned, compiled and tested where tests exist. Results are reported honestly — a clean rescan alone is never presented as proof of security.

Architecture

Clear separation of responsibilities.

01

Frontend

This web app: upload, review, diff and report. Holds no secrets.

02

FastAPI backend

POST /scan · /repair · /verify, GET /reports · /health

03

Flawfinder

Static analysis of C/C++ with CWE-mapped risk levels 0–5

04

LLM repair

Model credentials stay on the server, never in the browser

05

Toolchain

gcc / arm-none-eabi-gcc build and unit tests for verification
